Why ARAhub chose to work with us
The initial leg of our work with ARAhub was marked by intense conversations and brainstorming sessions, aimed at comprehending the challenges they faced in their cloud migration journey. These collective efforts were documented meticulously in Miro, where the project’s roadmap took shape. With the help of our seasoned DevOps team, we translated the technicalities into actionable strategies. This interactive approach allowed ARAhub to visualize the transformation we were planning for their infrastructure, instilling confidence that their complex issues were well understood and under control.
ARAhub’s primary goal was to streamline their migration to a cloud-based infrastructure, mitigating the vulnerabilities associated with Single Points of Failure (SPOF) that their previous bare metal setup had. They sought a secure, flexible, and cost-effective solution capable of managing their VPN and deploying stateless applications efficiently. Crucially, the new setup needed to be compatible with their existing systems and offer scalability to meet future growth.
Addressing ARAhub’s specific needs, our team leveraged AWS to create a secure and flexible landing zone. Given the absence of ready-made tools that could meet ARAhub’s unique requirements without impacting performance, we custom-built solutions. Our extensive knowledge in handling stateless applications and systematizing VPN management was critical in this stage. We created Docker files to containerize their applications and successfully deployed them on Kubernetes, leading to a seamless transition.
ARAhub’s existing infrastructure lacked a VPN. To address this, we not only introduced a VPN but also systematized it to manage their ARA boxes directly from the cluster. This move significantly improved the security and efficiency of their infrastructure. We relocated their points of persistency to S3 and MongoDB, and their applications were rendered stateless, further enhancing the robustness of their setup.
Our collaboration with ARAhub has been a transformative journey. The new infrastructure has proven its mettle with a high availability rate of 99.99%, and deployment speed increased by 200%. ARAhub is now equipped with a stateless application infrastructure that offers enhanced scalability, marking a significant leap from their previous setup. We, at our company, are proud of the role we played in this transformation and look forward to supporting ARAhub in their future endeavors.
