Let’s take a look
Why Fitboxy started working with us?
Fitboxy had started migration to cloud process with their own DevOps team but they were not able to meet the requirements of speed and delivery time. For several years the cloud services were running but the infrastructure was not fully migrated to the cloud which caused costs to increase significantly. In the same time the infrastructure was still vulnerable and has many SPOF’s.
IT360 had to plan infrastructure in a new way that was meeting both timeline and budget requirements.
How we worked with Fitboxy?
We started with offline Workshops with Fitboxy entire team and IT360 DevOps leaders. As a results we identified customer pain points and gained mutual understanding on the real timeline of the migration process. After the workshops Our DevOps team prepared Infrastructure Architecture Design and crafted a realistic roadmap including tasks to be performed in every stage.
During our workshops we discovered a part of the system that required purely software development services. We divided our work between two teams: DevOps and Development team. The Development team took care for the IoT management system development and web development of the parts of the system. Thanks to collaboration with our DevOps team they built a scalable system that was ready to be moved to cloud.
While we worked on software development parts of the system we gradually implemented top notch CI/CD approach using Bitbucket Pipelines and GitOps approach with ArgoCD and Helm.
One of the obstacles we had to overcome in our DevOps roadmap was to migrate from MongoDB on Atlas as it was using huge amount of resources although not used in a proper way. We successfully migrated of MongoDB from Atlas to Kubernetes based instances and removed third-party dependency.
The final result is a well shaped cloud infrastructure with container orchestration with AWS EKS (Kubernetes) which is constantly improved. By moving 100% of the system to the cloud we enabled our client to launch new business models.
