About Picodi
Why Picodi chose to work with us
Picodi’s infrastructure was initially hosted in a single location, which posed a significant threat to business continuity, and service accessibility varied greatly between locations.
Picodi began the process of migrating to the cloud with a provider that could not meet their speed and delivery requirements. IT360 was tasked with improving these aspects. Our first step was to audit the cloud migration process and create a new timeline that focused on the client’s critical blockers. This was a challenging task because Picodi’s infrastructure consisted of several legacy systems, and IT360 had to analyze the technological implications of moving them to the cloud.
Our collaboration with Picodi
The whole migration process was conducted in very close cooperation with Picodi’s engineering team. Completing the cloud migration process was the primary goal, as it would allow Picodi to stabilize the infrastructure, increase its scalability and also serve their users in various parts of the world in the most effective way performance wise. Once the system was migrated, together with the Picodi team, we carefully monitored resource usage to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Our cost audit and optimization efforts resulted in a 65% cost reduction. We moved mission-critical parts of the system to the AWS cloud, while the remaining components ran on a highly efficient virtualized infrastructure using Proxmox. This infrastructure architecture was a perfect fit for Picodi, meeting both financial and availability requirements with 99.99% uptime. We implemented the highest level of monitoring and maintenance procedures using Grafana, Kibana, Cloudwatch and Athena. We also reduced page load times from 600ms to 200ms through our unique page caching solutions using EC2, RDS, Elasticache (Redis), S3 and Cloudfront. Once the final infrastructure was in place, we designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
We accomplished this by providing consistent DevOps support. Over nearly six years of working together, we reached a point where we could delegate these responsibilities to newly hired members, enabling Picodi to ensure business continuity with its own DevOps team.
Boost your infrastructure! Start saving and optimizing with us now!
